A top release of 2015. Kendrick destroys breaks in a way we haven't heard in well over a decade, replacing the ragga vocals of yore with field recordings of drunks in Dunstable. Essential listening.

"Legendary Detroit jungle label Rewind Records is back! Having not released anything since 2004 (minus a seriously essential compilation of tracks on Rephlex) Soundmurderer + SK-1 relaunch in style with a new 12" from Lord Of The D aka Rephlex artist Jodey Kendrick. Coming in hard first, Kendrick’s self titled cut ‘Lord Of The D’ builds over a tense atmosphere before exploding into frenzied spew of rugged breaks, followed by the more restrained, wind-backed ‘Asdar’. B-side flips back to the rough stuff, with the gritted warehouse malice of ‘Jamie Let Go’, whilst closer ‘Street Fighter’ employs some fluid sub-bass whomp to deadly effect."
