Although the beard he wears makes him look like a professor, Loren Dunton is no theorist in the selling field.
One year in department store selling, nine years indirect-to-consumer sales and sales management, two years in advertising and sales promotion, and two years as a national sales training director gave him an excellent background for his own business as a marketing and sales training consultant. Besides consulting his firm, Loren Dunton & Associates, Inc., of Littleton, Colorado, prepares films and sales presentations, but only for clients who sell to women.
In '65 he took a year off from consulting, and with his wife and two teen daughters went around the world studying and teaching salesmanship in twenty-five countries.
His first book, "How To Sell To Women" (McGraw Hill - $6.95), did much to establish him as perhaps the number one authority in the country on motivating women. The book he is working on now, "How To Influence Women", will have an even wider appeal.
His books and talks on Self Discipline are the of his hobby of interviewing successful and interesting people.
