If you’ve ever wondered w hat Frank Sinatra would have sounded like doing dance music, Louie Austen answers the question. With his smooth vocals at the fore, the beats are allowed to thump beneath him: the Rat Pack with a beatbox. The singles “Hoping” and “Amore” are totally smooth and gorgeous, as sleazy as all get out. “Hear My Song!” isn’t as strong, though, trying a bit too hard to tap into a soul vein. “Grab My Shaft!” gets back to pure sleaze, thankfully, aided in no small part by Peaches. The final track, “One Night in Rio,” goes for humor via a shaggy dog story, but it shows that a little tongue-in-cheek never hurt anyone.

Louie Austen has been one of the legendary voices for those into 60 & 70 's swing-soul cabarette music who appreciate good quality music along with a piano playing.
However , Austen got the most of himself when joined forces with electronica-techno german producers Pulsinger and Neugebauer and so went into a vast new world of music to explore, and also opened to a wider, and yet younger, audience.
Despite all this, Austen is not very well-known by mainstream masses, among other things, because ,for this,it takes to undertake a strong marketting campaign and some money to be advertised and promotioned in the commercial music chart world....

However, for those who know to appreciate good quality music ,they will see in Louie Austen songs the excellence of an impecable production and a superb voice.

Those tired of repetitive thumbing poor techno production songs and long for the mixture between old time music styles and modern tendencies will find in austen's music a wonderfil divine discovery.

"Amore", "Hoping" and ,from his followed-up album, "Easy love", are his best and most representative singles of what i'm trying to say.
Simply a must have.
