surface noise all over the place here, especially on side A. I bought the record after I have listened to a digital version for over 15 times, so I know the difference.

The distorted bass sound at the end of Tempest doubles as a useful method to rattle loose any dust around your speakers.

Take a good look at your record when you open it up. Mine had quite a large spot of scratched area from the inner sleeve.
The pressing sounds wonderful otherwise but the modern sleeves make me paranoid when buying new records.
I really don't understand the logic behind poor inner sleeves except if you want to get rid of new vinyl enthusiasts really fast... garbage. Popped it into my MoFi sleeve right away.

Usually, I go for the black vinyl version of an album, because it almost always sounds better. I mentioned to someone that I was looking forward to buying this album soon...and it happened to be a couple of days before my birthday. Guess what? They assumed I would want the 'collectible' version, and bought me this as a present. I felt kind of bad. Nonetheless, after giving this admittedly gorgeous clear vinyl a spin, I'm pleased to say that it sounds fantastic! I'm very pleasantly surprised, especially after reading easteracrobat's post here...I feared the worst. Fortunately, my copy has none of those issues...it's quiet as a mouse and clear as a bell.

Oh, and I feel sure that the spelling and spacing discrepancies are quite deliberate. They reflect the warped feeling of the music, which reflects the warped feeling of our present reality.

The matrix is misleading. The CANADA/USA release is pressed at RTI. Different etching than listed which looks to be Optimal.

Nevertheless still surprised how good it sounds. Quiet and enjoyable.

Just played this copy back straight from a sealed jacket. Not impressed with the lack of dynamics and noise, but worse is the last cut, Disarray - where it keeps cutting in and out, loud audible pops / cracks and so forth. I only have this pink vinyl copy, not certain if it's just mine, all pinks or all variants in general? I've e-mailed electric fetus to get their take.
