Reunions are tricky and in most cases these days seem to destroy the beauty of a legend. With their brand new 10" EP, Lush demonstrate they´re the example of a legend, restarting anew, as shineful as they (always) were. Personally, I cannot say much about their last album to date - "Lovelife" - except it was a brave step away from their then-somewhat exhausted hazy sound they were so loved, and forever remembered for.

Announcing a comeback, anyone familiar with their back-catalogue might have supposed either Lush will be a bit more careful (and slightly play it safe) or completely blow it. Luckily, "Blind Spot" goes in favour of the former, in a decent four-song return to form (not that they lost any of it earlier) - nothing spectacular about it, yet it´s honest, dedicated and - let´s hope - here to stay. A 20 year hiatus may have cought up with them in terms of "age", but the voices, the sound and the ideas they carried out here are as beautiful a freeze-frame moment where the young Lush and the experienced, mature Lush rejoice for some new sunbathing.

Great return... happy to hear these artists making their sound again.
I like how this EP is more in line with the "Spooky" sound and vibe (i.e. not super pop)!

The songwriting is kind, the production is clean and the energy is keen.
