Could anyone expand a bit as to the sound quality of the Mute/Naïve vinyl? Out of 14 reviews not one has touched on this subject.

What an unfortunate travesty. Such an innovative act, ultimately succumbing to the triviality of everything that sucked about the 80's. A disposable and unmemorable listen, and M83's weakest release to date. "Junk"...so aptly titled.

My expectations on the album were low after reading the mostly dismissive reviews below. So listening to it was really a nice surprice, track after track after track. Always melodic, often catchy, A good album in my opinion.

I love this album. It has something that I've missed on Daft punk's RAM.

In my opinion, they tried to do what Daft Punk did with RAM; make a themed album from an era of music they love. However, it fell a bit short for me. It feels more like a side project or something.

I love M83 but passed quickly on this one.
I like their more ethereal, thoughtful, shoegaze style albums.

I actually enjoy this Record.although it definitely has some weak spots, I think overall this is a great record, artists change their style once and a while, they cant just do the same thing for their whole career. GREAT RECORD!

M83 has rarely made music that sounds emotionally hollow, but "Junk" provides an unfortunate exception.

Painful, it took me 3 days to listen to the whole thing.
I'm a huge 80s fan but this album is really cringeworthy.
I feel a little bit pranked... but since the title's Junk I should have known better.

The only positive thing I can write in regards to this new M83 album, is that it seems to be self-aware. 'Junk' is a perfect title.
