Hail all -
First, a huge thank you to Paulo at the Casa de Dolcett for taking
offense at my ignorance concerning EoC and mailing me a dub to set me
straight (though I'm afraid at what it might cost me in the future!). I'm
sure you're all interested in this piece, so I'll provide a quick
description / review. I also retract my prior comments about documentary
tapes - it in no way applies to this piece. Also, since this is a dub, I
can only assume its the actual article and not a joke...

SIDE A

The Sleepers

Mid frequency wavering
Backward loops, rhythmic / propulsive samples
Backward guitar (ala Rampton)
competing rythmic loops
background synth wavering scales
High frequency distorted throb
Very much Rampton treated like Come Sunday 2 (from Fur Ilse Koch)
calms down to a heavy beat workout bottom with high feedback top

Story begins - music becomes ambient throb backdrop
Story about the Leopard Society / Cannibal Club, which
captures people to eat and to save the fat from the body
to rub on themselves (for power) and how one person
became caught up in it. Much about knives, flesh, heads,
flesh from the private parts, secrecy, choking, drowning,
skinning, dividing of children into quadrants and cooking
them.

disembowlings, three bladed knives, recipe for liver/heart

In all, a bridge between Come and Whitehouse - very rhythmic (especially the
first half of the first side). Highly recommended , and definitely
something we need to see released on an upcoming Come Org Anthology - more
than half of this tape is unreleased music, the other half is an interesting
story with backing tapes. Nothing but pure, early Bennett (and friends? -
more info would be nice).
