Despite a cool label, a cool NYC accent, and the always hip Paul C. connection, MC Tatiana doesn't really come off here. Not that it's really her fault. Sure, the beats are engineered to thump, but the slight electro touches on the production date this record in the worst way. A few cool scratch sentences (I do give props to her Real Roxanneish voice) might redeem it for some, but to me this is barely a two and half star record. The always fresh (and female MC exclusive) tell-off concept of the B-side slips on a bad beat, coming up short to any number of Lyte or Shante tracks. Which is too bad, as she's not a bad MC by any stretch, just wish I'd heard her on a joint McKasty put together himself.
