The original title of this song is, actually, Beggin'. Yes it is a Frankie Valli cover but a very good one. Madcon's vocals are soulful, and although I wouldn't say I was a massive hip-hop connoiseur the rap is professional and catchy and (if this isn't too patronising) sounds like it was written and performed by native speakers of English, which I believe the group aren't. Probably the inspiration for the track was the Pilooski re-edit of the original Frankie Valli version that was a minor UK hit last year, and this version is about to be released in the UK too, and should chart highly, well-deservedly too in my opinion.

I didn't enjoy this cover song, originally by discostar Frankie Valli. The only thing that makes this remake different from the original is slightly different music. Everything else is almost the same. In my opinion there was no point of remaking the original. Some classics better leave alone. The music video sucked aswell. It is obviously love it or hate it song if you look at the ratings. However, the part where Yosef rap, is not bad.
