Tracks 1 - 6: Early Studio Demos 1981 - these demo versions feature partly different/additional lyrics and keyboard lines. "Ain't No Big Deal" has never been officially released.
Track 7: Think Of Me - "You Can Dance" Album Outtake 1985 - this track was originally intended for release on the 1987 Remix Album "You Can Dance" but was withdrawn in the very last minute for unknown reasons.
Track 8: Tell Me - Studio Demo 1986 - written By Madonna for Nick Camen's 1988 Album "US", this rather early demo features Madonna repeatedly singing the main chorus lines while Nick is just providing few background vocals.
Track 9: Love Won't Wait - Demo for Gary Barlow 1997 - this track was written by Madonna especially for ex-"Take That" singer Gary Barlow. The song was another success gor Gary, becoming his second No. 1 hit In the UK. This demo version features Madonna on lead vocals.
Tracks 10 - 15: "Ray Of Light" Studio Demos 1997 - with the exception of "To Have And Not To Hold" (quite different version here), none of these early recordings ever made it onto the final album. "No Substitute For Love", A very early version of what would later become "Drowned World.." Can almost be considered a different song. Except for a few lyric passages there is not much else left those two tracks have in common.
