I can't believe we're banging on about catalogue numbers regarding this release! Back to the music... Put simply Swift was on fire at this point, this is the original incarnation of modern day jump up. I'm pretty sure if you asked many of the new wave of jump up producers who their influences were there would be some mention of early Mampi bangers.
Yes, it's simplistic, but at the same time it isn't - that is the essence of real d'n'b. It's a vibe and if you don't understand the vibe you can't make tracks like this. Every sound is tweaked to bring maximum punch, bass and weight, and most important of all that intense energy that no other music can produce.

There is a miss labelled version of this around, the one I owned and recently sold had the label from CHARGE003 on it, I sold it as this ("The 1" b/w "The Journey") as I wasn't aware that it was wrongly labelled, but was informed after the sale that it was in fact not "The 1" b/w "The Journey" but these two tracks "Hi Tek b/w Mission. Just a heads up, as I mentioned I sold the record without this knowledge so couldn't add it to the database.
