The album contains hidden messages on the inserts that are viewable by placing the blue vinyl record over the message. On the first insert, it says "yellow and blue = green" which is how one can read these messages. The messages can also be viewed through the transparent blue CD case on the CD version of the album.

The running order is unique to this format, reflecting the division of the tracks into distinct albums: 'Mechanical Animals' by Marilyn Manson, and 'Omega and the Mechanical Animals', which is presented as a production by Manson's alter ego Omega, who appears on the sleeve of the second LP.

A definite error was made on this entry - my copy is US-made, same catalog number. For some reason, a merge was done today to show only a UK release?

Just acquired this album, and it is brilliant. The different tracks work incredibly well and the sound quality is outstanding. As a die hard Manson fan, this is truly a wonderful piece to own and happy to have in my collection. This album has also aged very well unlike some of his other stuff (looking at you portrait) so if you owned this in the past you will not be disappointed.

I was fortunate enough to grab a near mint copy about a decade ago for waaaaay less than its current value. One of the best sounding records I own, honestly. Definitely worth picking up if you happen to stumble upon it reasonably-priced. The alternate track sequence works really well and actually makes more sense conceptually as two separate "acts". Fun packaging, as well. The sound itself is very much alive + detailed. Dead quiet pressing all the way through except for the couple of songs on mine that have just recently started to wear out from age. Would totally seek out a new copy if anything happened to this.

Probably my overall favorite album from him, and a great sounding white & translucent blue vinyl on this release; I've had mine for over 20+ years and they still sound awesome. Snag one if you can find one at a decent price.
