10 more years have passed and I've just dug this out. Funked Up, The Alien Spoke get deep, but Lost message and Come home have some serious detroit soul in them. Yes!

10 years after we can say without risk that this is a solid, classic techno album with enough groove and subtlety to remain timeless. I want to emphasize on 'The Alien Spoke', a perfectly-titled, deep and menacing beauty that defines in itself the concept of 'spooky techno'.

This is by far the best album from Mark Broom to date. 8 well arranged Detroit-influenced techno tracks. This album has it all: it’s great stuff for listening and great stuff ‘for the floor’ as well. Mark uses a lot of tribal and funky ingredients in his tracks but he uses them in a proper, subtle way, so the depth and ‘dreamy’ mood is maintained. Classy stuff!
