The A side hits hard with two remixes by the man himself, Inigo Kennedy. The first Asymmetric mix is very abstract, with those rapid, shuffled erratic drum patterns so many tracks on his imprint follow. Definitely not dance floor unfriendly, although it takes a more daring and skilled DJ to pull it off properly.
The other Asymmetric mix is a real shaker, with the earth quaking bass, nasty big broken beats and filthy EQ effects playing tricks on your mind. While still challenging and very different from anything you could hear at the time, it's more likely to tear clubs apart than the previous track. Bravo Inigo! If you like the stuff he did on Asymmetric, both of these tracks could have been easily pulled straight off one of those EPs.

The flip has two originals, Traction and Fix. The first, a tough tribal banger is a wake up call for all those kicking it at the bar and missing out on the party. Great pounding beats, groovy bass with the right amount of side effects to keep it interestng. The other keeps it in the sane vein, though not as obviously four on the floorish. Pretty linear with commanding beats chaining your feet to the floor - an awesome track.

This is a must own EP, especially for Kennedy fans. He did very few remixes in his career, and might I be blunt enough to say that these rank among his finest. Just like a lot of his work at the time, the remixes are out of the common yet extraordinary, while the B side gives you some of that banging gravy for the club heads. Get it!
