I tend to say little about the music of mark mcguire. The reason is that I am totally selfish since his music has been such a beacon in the darkest hours. Hence ive wanted to keep all those photons of magic energy to myself. In my own reckoning Pullman's cd Turnstyles and Junkpiles is an amazing feat of craftmanship on guitar. Mark Mcguire is perhaps the first person to release music that weaves similar magic. What amazes me most is his age in that one expects a person much older in years to put such emotion and depth of feeling into these guitar pieces. For my part these recordings are like so many grandma fairytale telling evenings by the large log fire.....burning to a warm glow in the fading light....these chords are hearty and enduring......traced back into our memory!
