There are songs that can be seen as part of general education, and there are some on this live record: La Vie En Rose, known by Piaf, Lili Marlene, known since WW I, and Falling In Love Again, the english version of a Dietrich Original, from the german roaring 20s Film "Der Blaue Engel", from which is also the Song Lola (the original lyrics in German of "Ich Bin Von Kopf Bis Fuß Auf Liebe Eingestellt" are a lot better than the poor, superficial english translation). It is always exiting to listen to and witness the Dietrich versions of these tunes, performed live with a smokey voice in the mid sixties. The very highlight of the record is a less known tune, though: Boys In The Backroom.
