Not too many live albums can make the grade, but this one did. You can tell that Marvin could have been born on stage, he commands it. I especially like the '60s medleys he did here. "Got To Give It Up", the closing studio song, clocking at just under 12 minutes, was the perfect party song. And believe me, back then, people loved to PARTY!

This version of 'All The Way Around' is absolutely amazing. I can't describe in words how beautiful and effortless his vocal is on this record, it is just quality. I heard this first on this recording, and then checked the album version - no comparison. Marvin Gaye had a well documented habit, and he ventured down a road which was always ultimately gonna be prohibitive, I just help feeling this man when I listen to this music and feel gutted when I remember his final chapter
