This record is a historic footnote from 1985, one of them "before" projects. Featuring Teddy Riley (before New Jack Swing), Rocky Bucano (not yet allied with Jazzy Jay), and a young Maxwell "Grand Puba Maxwell" Dixon (before Brand Nubian). Recorded downtown at Unique, for a label uptown in the Bronx, and very likely the first rap record from way uptown in Westchester County NY. Like Brand Nubian, Masters Of Ceremony hailed from New Rochelle NY (aka Now Rule), before it became known as New-Ro or New Rock, and before Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Heavy D, Sean Combs, A.D.O.R., Al B Sure, DMX, Mary J. Blige, The Lox, or any of the other artists to come from the county just north of the Bronx. Seminal to say the least.
