An interesting release for fans of boogie-woogie and jazz piano. Thowever, this is probably not the best place to begin exploring Meade "Lux" Lewis or boogie woogie; for that, I would go to Albert Ammons, Meade "Lux" Lewis - The First Day.
Meade Lux Lewis* - Meade Lux Lewis (1927-1939) suffers from indifferent sound on side A; there is significant hiss from the original 78 RPM records on the first six titles, dating from 1927 to 1930. The final eight titles were recorded in 1938-1939, and sound considerably better. However, the sound is listenable throughout.
Despite the sonic limitations, there is good music on this release. If you are a fan of jazz piano or boogie-woogie, this is worth having.
