One of those albums which combine psychedelic trance with Indian, Tribal and Ethnic sounds without going into cheese territory.

The album starts with the 1 and a half minute “prayer”, followed by beautiful track Mandragora and its excellent drumming.

Next comes Siouxpernature. Starts with the sounds of a forest in the background and has the chant of Sioux Indians, I presume. There is some drumming too.

Slipstream has a nice ethnic chant and soothing melody and is more of a laid back track compared to the previous two.

Wizard's Brew is the fastest and loudest track of the album. I had taped this in the summer of ’95. This has no tribal and ethnic sounds, instead it’s a full-on wicked track.

Alpha Return is a breakbeat track. Originally released as Alpha Rising in 1994, this one features guitar strings and a very soothing melody to chill off after Wizard's Brew. The track is still danceable though.

Water starts with the gentle sound of water flowing and continues off with a soft beat but you can still dance to it.

12-12 rounds off the journey in a laid back way but like Alpha Return and Water you can still move to.

Quite an overlooked album though if you ask me it’s far from essential. It fits in both the dance and chill category or in the Dance-Chill style if you like it that way. Breakbeat lovers will also like this one.
