Sounds decent enough but skips like hell. Stay away from this pressing at all costs.

I guess I'm in the minority here but I think this copy sounds fine. All the instruments and vocals come through very clearly on my turntable. I think some copies may have been pressed at Rainbo (their catalogue number S-##### is in the deadwax) which might be why some people had issues. Rainbo pressings are notoriously awful (see Beatles stereo reissues). The copy I have was pressed at Pallas and has very little surface noise. The only issue with this album is that it really needed a 2XLP reissue. It's simply too long for a single LP and would sound even better with more room in the grooves.

This pressing is trash, luckily mine only skipped during "Disposable Heroes", not only that but it sounds like garbage, stay away from this pressing and get the 2017 Remaster/Original Elektra/Music For Nations 45 RPM.

Sounds alright. However, the record skips multiple times during Track B2 ( Lepper Messiah ).

also a locked loop in the middle of orion for some reason overall a bad reissue.

Don't buy it. Sounds like dog sh-t and skips on MOP, Sanitarium and Disposable Heroes (I have a LP120)

No skipping for me. However the record sounds very flat and not much punch from the bass drum. I have the Ride the Lightning repress from 2016 and it sounds incredibly punchy compared to this Master of Puppets 2014 pressing. 3 stars nothing special.

Battery skips everything else doesn't. which is annoying since battery's a great song. Only new vinyl i bought that skipped.

Mine never skipped and ran it through the Spin-Clean as well. Not that bad of a pressing. It has the IGD at the end of each side...but nothing too drastic. Better than the "Kill Em All" Blackened pressing that I own.

I know there are a lot of negative experiences that were had with this pressing. I cleaned mine before I played it and it did not skip. Since I first heard this album at 10 years old in 1988, I thought the mix was heavy on the high frequencies. I was hoping for a sound quality that was at least "better than the original '86 CD" and in that respect I believe it succeeds.
