This edition lacks strength to the sound, you can not hear bass and guitars, for my very bad editing, someone happens to him the same thing or it was just my copy??

Maybe I lucked out but my copy sounds amazing! Dead quiet and I feel quite the contrary to some other's opinion. This sounds WAY less compressed than some of the older masters. Pressed at Pallas US no less for a great price!

I own the first MFN 27 pressing and i feel this remastered sound more complete. It is more balance. The original has many guitar deformation and the sound become little noisy.. In some case that is the beauty.. Sound more unconstrained and aggressive. But you cant heard the instruments separate like this remastered. That try to do in so many years.. They clean the sound and the instruments sound more clear.. They only weak part with this remastered is that the drums sound 2 clicks up and distract you sometimes.. Specially on the CD.. Here the sound is more balance but again the drums is loud.
Overall it has the same explosion and the same realistic sound like the original LP.. You can feel warm sound here.. They do great job and i believe this version deserve your money than to get a second/third hand original pressing..

Excellent sound quality I can't hear that it's any different from the original but it's ride the lightning in all its awesomeness on vinyl and it sounds GREAT! Also you get a free digital download included with it. Vinyl Up Your Ass is carved into the deadwax! old Metalli-bangers will get the reference!

Sounds damn good to me. Although, I don't think I am as picky as some on here.

None of these Blackened reissues are worth anything. If you love 80's Metallica do yourself a favor and grab an original pressing, doesn't have to be a very first press cause all the 80's pressings sound great.

love this album, but am disappointed in the remaster, doesn't sound open nor have the depth i was hoping for, but the pressing is ultra quiet

Gotta join the chorus here and say this sounds pretty damn good. I’d still like to hear an original 80s press but for those looking to spend a reasonable amount this is it. Drums are tight and the levels sound right on. Thanks for fixing the shittier early blackened pressing Metallica!

I love Chris Bellman's work, but this reissue is terrible. Maybe the original tape was bad, I don't know. It sounded flat and compressed. Don't waste your money on this one.
