Lots of people crying about MJ releases. Do your due diligence and figure it the f*** out.. There is only one OG of this album, and it isn't hard to source.. Once you locate it, you will realize why he sold millions.

Michael Jackson - Thriller should be merged with Michael Jackson - Thriller as the first one looks to simply be a variant of the 1st US pressing release. I tried merging them myself, but it wouldn't take the 726 release code for some reason and kept saying to enter two valid release IDs. I don't know.

Definitely Michael Jackson's best album, with hit after hit!!

I opened a sealed copy of this release, and found a weird glitch: Billie Jean as a "gap" before the first course...! It jumps without a scratch or a click :( tried cleaning to make sure, nothing helped.
Does anyone farmiliar with this issue?

The amount of issues (subs) is beyond out of hand and quite ridiculous! so many merges are needed!!! mostly runout variants... near impossible to find which issue one has... In my opinion, Discogs should review releases with more than 100 issues to ensure Database integrity...

If you ever saw the TV program on BBC TV [recently] about this album.
It mentioned that the actual album everyone knows as 'Thriller' was the 2nd 'Mix' of this record.
When 1st 'finished' it seems there was little love for it.
Only after going back and eliminating all that was considered 'unnecessary & flabby' did they finish up with 'this release'.
You'd wonder though since the '25' Version did so well - whether an 'Original Mix' Version would ever see the light of day ?
Or are they keeping that for some Anniversary Edition in the Future ?

Question about the US vinyl edition of this. I've owned two copies, and I've seen other copies of it. There is a curious spiral pattern visible on the vinyl groove of "Billie Jean." Anyone else noticed this? I've always wondered what that is.

Promo copies are not worth more? Or didn't I find it?

Highest selling album of all time,
Follow up to the funky Off The Wall album, my personal favourite.
Quality productions throughout.

"Wanna Be Startin' Something" contains uncredited samples of "Soul Makossa" performed by Manu Dibango
"Thriller" contains uncredited samples of "Give It to Me Baby" performed by Rick James
"Billie Jean" contains uncredited samples of "Do It Again" performed by Steely Dan and also "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)" performed by Hall & Oates"

Who wrote this shit?? There were no samples on "Thriller". Q. Jones has said in interviews he was "inspired" by other records, like the Rick James track (and you can clearly tell) but samples.... Idiot.
