Abstract and noodly, Microstoria’s INVISIBLE ARCHITECTURE #3 seems to be an experiment in sonics, mixing harsh, grating tones (like on “Artik”) with seemingly random sounds -- hints of melody here and there (the haunting and spasmodic “Flexen,” for instance), but primarily drones and tones. Though beguiling, the album’s freeform sounds are a little too lacking in structure, despite the architecture of the title. Or maybe the architecture is too invisible, because the tracks collapse in on each other. In some ways, the album works better as a journey, but I prefer things to be built on a more solid foundation
