"Punish 4" is my contender for the finest release ever on Punish. On the strength of Aural Exciter it stands a tad above the competition. While it's mostly the same old four to the floor madness, with rusty sound effects and crunchy bass lines, the entertaining and dirty vocals provided by Mistress Diana are way too memorable, which makes it hard to dispatch that track in one's mind. The way in which she gives perverted sex instructions to her sex slave, with that heavy british accent, is just so disturbing, but so pleasant in a guilty and crooked kind of a way.
Double D is basically an instrumental version of Aural Exciter - really fun to toy around with both tunes simultaneously if you own two copies of this. Really crispy techno, driving and fierce. Proper swedish gold!
Diana's groove is a rougher and less polished re-work of the A side tune. Same percussion, same arrangements, but it has these sinister, deviantly sharp synth stabs, which slightly remind of those found on the Stigmata 008 release, track A1. The bass is really distorted and throbbing here, the drum kick is insanely loud, just as in the previous tunes - total madness!
My point is, if you are looking for a release which will move a crowd of paraplegics, you're on the right track here. Even if you were blindfolded, and asked to drop the needle at any given point of this vinyl, unless you'd hit the run out groove, wherever it may drop, believe me that the crowd would get upside their heads and back. Stellar material!

This was the first record I bought on Punish, or by Glenn Wilson... This is still one of my favorite eps! Aural Exciter is a really funny track to play, as it has Mistress Diana on the vocals instructing her love slave. Don't play Diana's Groove unless you are prepared to drop bombs!!
