No flaws on my copy except for one on Side B but the pressing is bad anyway considering this great piece of music. No real depth in this pressing what makes it unbearable when instruments come together. Very sad because it's great music which deserves a better pressing or mastering.

Picked up the black vinyl repress at a recent show. This has apparently been re-cut and it does sound flawless now.

Original flawed black vinyl deadwax: RESEARCH 02 A / RESEARCH 02 B
Recut black vinyl repress: RESEARCH 02 A2 / RESEARCH 02 B2

I have the later Ltd Red vinyl pressing and can't hear any pressing flaws mentioned on this copy, with either Side A or B. Hope this helps. Oh and I have played it to death!

I've had two copies. Both B-sides contained pops I would best describe as a clipping sound, no idea whats actually going on.. On both copies they could be heard in the same spots. Best example for me would be right after the introduction on B-3 "The Gloves Don't Bite". Must be a bad press right?

How can other people on here have perfect-playing copies of the same pressing (the black one, not the second pressing, which is red - right?), while others do not? Guess i'll fly in the third pressing at a ridiculous shipping rate from Australia..

Big fan of this crew. No issues with my copy (original release) except a mild warp. Sounds fantastic.

Same pressing issues on Side B concerning my copy - will send it back. It's pressed by MPO - I own many good pressings from them - this is not a good one :((

So is a CD the best way to go with this album? Sounds like a woeful press, which is a real pity for such good music.

Regrettably, have to say that my experience is the same for Side B in particular. My deck is set up absolutely bang on and the noises coming from this in places are bloody awful to be frank. Cost a bloody fortune to get this shipped to the UK too :(
