Some nice (if not particularly distinguished) house from Milton Jackson on his debut album THE BIONIC BOY. He keeps a smooth, steady groove going on tracks like “In the Mood” and “I See You,” but there’s also a simplicity to the tracks like “Beat My Beat” that takes things down a notch. The electro intro to “Shock Me All Nite” promises something exciting, but it isn’t delivered until “Dimensional.” “All New” delivers some disco glitter, as does “Old Styles.” The final track, “Sunlight,” pulls in some strings for warmth, but it’s not quite enough to elevate this album above the rest.
