Unbelievably legendary techno track. I first heard this played by John Peel sometime in 1994. I used to have it on a recording of his show on cassette tape. That went missing years ago. But occasionally I had this literally playing note by note in my mind, it had stuck in there so strongly it had such a huge effect on me. But I could never remember who it was by until I started going through some old Peel track listings ( ) which triggered a memory of Peel announcing the track ... "something"-man. A net search of that plus the vocal sample words turned it up on Youtube. The track is clearly a classic of the genre, and techno history, as it has very skilful musical composition and structure. but sounds completely spontaneous as if the musician is playing it live on his instruments. Electronica musicians could learn a lot from this track for how to get beyond the technology and effects to something that still has a totally unique sound in this music genre.
