Better sounding than the CD! I love the deep bass on this pressing! If you are here you know what you are looking for. I bought it used in NM missing the bag but IDK I wanted the clear edition vinyl knowing the production was spot on.

This is one of, if not the greatest Synth wave/Dark wave compilnation albums ever made. Period. On tracks such as "Halloween," "All Day," and "Nature of Love," have such a driving force, the beat, the synth, the lyrics and other things that make this album stand out, among others. Finally, the themes of many of the songs are still relevant, even to this day, including the shunning of certain subcultures, forced and underpaid labor, and finally the struggle to find love.
In Conclusion, this album is a must have for Synth or Dark Wave Lovers. 9 1/2 out of 10. Highly Recomend

As with this edition one of my favourite songs, Same Old Madness, was going to be first time featured on a release, i was all excited about it.
Unfortunately Cleopatra didn't choose the kick-ass, straight-forward version from the music video like it can been watched on YouTube but a rather lame, soft-washed longer version which is basically disappointing imho.
If they had taken the proper edit this release would be certainly beyond any doubt, but - as it stands - it's just an average extended reissue prooving that it's makers didn't excercise the care it would have deserved. Shame!

This in-depth reissue finally collects all the officially released "Wax Trax!" era songs into one set. "Same Old Madness", which was only released as a promo video, finally makes it's debut. (Note for collectors: The version included here is not the 1982 video mix, it is a more polished version from 1983)
This release trumps the former Twelve Inch Singles and Early Trax CDs, as all tracks from those releases are featured here as well.
In addition, the inner liner notes contain all the original 12" front/back sleeve designs, as well as band photos from this period!
One should be aware that this is just the Wax Trax! era material, and does not contain any songs from With Sympathy, as that was on the Arista label. However a re-issue of With Sympathy was released in 2012 with period b-sides and remixes: http://www.discogs.com/Ministry-With-Sympathy/release/3815745

Wow! the inclusion of "Same old madness" into this compilation makes it an inmediate favourite, this song has been lost for decades.

For many years, this was the only release where you could find the Wax Trax era Ministry material. This compilation does have an interesting layout, presenting the 4 singles first in their original form, then 4 remixes as the second half of the disc. This release is missing some material. "I'm Falling", "Primental" and "The Nature of Outtakes" are not present. "All Day Remix B" is an alternate version of the Remix from the "Twitch LP" and did not appear on any previous Wax Trax release. "The Nature of Love-Cruelty Mix B" is a slightly longer mix than the original "Cruelty Mix". Otherwise, it is identical. "Everday Is Halloween" has a mastering issue that is corrected on the re-release/remastered compilation "Early Trax."
To clear confusion, "Early Trax" is remastered and contains additional tracks, but it does not replace this release. "Early Trax" does include "I'm Falling" and "Nature of Outtakes", but "Primental" still does not appear. However, this track was reworked into "I Wanted To Tell Her" on the "With Sympathy" LP. "Early Trax" also does not include "The Nature of Love-Cruelty Mix B". The mix presented on the CD is the original 12" Version. "Cold Life" and "Cold Life Dub" are also missing from "Early Trax". While there are shared tracks on both releases, you will need to both to own all the Wax Trax era material. To date, "Twelve Inch Singles 1981-1984" is the only CD release that contains "Cold Life."
