Two stunning sides. Only SD could have come up with two outstanding tracks with such different atmospheres

'Personal' has a tiny sample from Psyche (aka Carl Craig) - 'Elements' from 1990.

The break on Feel my dreams is cut up in such a weird way... a total nightmare to mix. But, I love it.

Brooding atmospherics from the Source Direct boys. SD have always been my favs for a bit of "intelligent" DnB, they manage to be dark without being boring like a lot of tech, mainly because they always keep the breaks flowing, avoiding techstep rigidity.

While titles like "Feel my Dreams" would normally suggest something with jazzy ambience like LTJ Bukem SD's tune should be called "Feel my Nightmares". Claustrophobic with relentless deep sea bass drops and a creepy sample. Not my favourite track of theirs, I think something like "Black Rose" does a similar job better, but still more interesting than 99% of the stuff out there...

Personal is a more driving tune which opens with blistering breaks and synth pads. Massive deep bass and overall dreamy feel. Both tracks are good to chill out to but maybe not as distinctive as their other work and they don't develop as much as they should, happy to sit back on the groove with out delivering the knock out punch.

However worth picking up if you find it after you have got hold of all the tracks by Hokusai!
