In regards to: Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? (Red Jerry's String & Breaks Mix)

The 12" MUTE Promo from 2000, is a superb emotive & melodic break-beat trance stormer of a remix from Red Jerry.....

It's a mystery to me why the Kelis version of "Honey" was released as a single, since it's really just a gimmick. Kelis' vocals sound like she just sang what came to her mind while in the studio - I think she even goes "Moby's trying to party" at some point. The beat by Fafu is kept in the Timbaland / Neptunes style that was quite fashionable in 2000. Anyway, this might be a solid tool for club DJs, but not much more.
The Red Jerry mix of "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?" is much better than the ATB and Ferry Corsten mixes that had been the DJ's favorites in that time. It keeps close to the original version, speeding it up and transforming it into a breakbeat trance track that would have fitted nicely on Sasha and John Digweed's "Northern Exposure" compilations.
"The Sun Never Stops Setting" is a typical Moby b-side. You can always recognize his tracks from the string arrangements he uses. Good chillout material.
