Agree that Morphing is gorgeous, but I love X-Ex just as much. Driving, dirty beat, hypnotic high-hats and gorgeous acid. Amazing track.

Morphing is the standout track here. A fine, fine example of why 1994 was my favorite time in electronic music. Its techno, its ambient, it's rave. Notice I didnt mentioned trance as that's a feeling and not a genre.

It starts euphoric out of the gate. It lull's you as it builds fairly quickly in the first minute or two to a crescendo. But this is different than allot of similar stuff of the time. Instead of building block by block it degenerates the melody to the rhythm underneath while all along teasing the listener of where the melody will go. Acid sirens underneath, bombastic light doom beat cut to reveal the melody once again finding itself. Then the melody fully reveals, beat kicks in and away you are off to another planet. Music for going to the stars. Beautiful, uplifting and busy. There was allot of excellent techno and IDM on New electronic. This might be the best trancey tune on the label. The B side has some heavy and excellent acid sounds as well.
