Decent album. Sort of a companion to Autoditacker; it includes tracks with a similar feel, but longer and more mellow. They're also not quite as memorable, unfortunately. This album is more about texture and ambiance. 3.5 / 5

I love this band. Or perhaps more accurately, I have a special place in my heart for them and the music they created at a certain point in time. im sure there is lots to like about what they are doing now, if you are into such things, but I have been generally uninterested in this group since ideology, despite trying to give each new album a chance. Instrumentals finds the band in a slow, dubbed out mood. I wouldn’t say that overall I like it better than autoditacker, which is their magnum opus IMO, but I think it makes a great companion piece, if not a nice bridge between iora Tahiti and autoditacker. it's sound stays mellow but well layered, and they return to the longer song times of vulvaland which really allows them to stretch their legs and play with sounds more comprehensively, which is a side of the band i really appreciate. certainly anything up to and including autoditacker is worth getting by this band if you like ambient, IDM, or whatever you want to call it, but albums afterwards i would suggest at least listening to them first, as they lost their consistancy (and parts of their sound that i really enjoyed) after 1997.
