Deep, deep, detroit influenced late-night vibes. Eastman starts off this EP in fine style - echoes of Derrick May's finest moments - synthesised strings giving way to a piano riff to conjure memories of the best of detroit. Soap Bubbles is a downtempo piece with rhodes keyboards echoing above fractured hip-hop influenced beats. In/Out is an old Move D tune from his excellent Solitaire CD on Fax. It is given a slight twist here, but remains very close to the original. The closing no - Amazing Discoveries - is a wonderful electronic lullaby - a very unclutered piece where the minimal elements - gentle meanderings on piano and strings, and subtle beats and bass - make the perfect close to this simply stunning ep.

Nearly 10 years on from it's release - this record sounds as fresh as when it first hit the shelves. Essential.
