Do the earth and it's people a favor and place this Plain Recordings release directly into the recycling bin, and immediately seek out a copy of the Music On Vinyl reissue of this brilliant album.

My copy has unmarked sides, audio that is very unbalanced between both speakers when listening in stereo (much clearer on the right on side 1 and on the left on side 2), and has a few very brief (less than a second) CD skips on the first 2 tracks that I probably wouldn't notice if I hadn't listened to the album a thousand times before (also, for you super-audiophiles hoping this may somehow be made from an analog source, this proves that it will never sound better than the CD). Rant aside, anyone searching for this gem on tape knows how hard it is to find the US pressing and Russian boot, and this one is (despite my nitpicks) perfectly listenable if you can find it for a decent price!

This pressing is damn good. No cracks, pops, hisses and other distortions. Improve in every aspect compared to earlier pressing...

Basically my all-time favourite album, so I was a little bit worried about this MOV pressing. But it sounds so great! Way better than the CD version. Too bad that the artwork on the insert looks terrible.

I like this pressing a whole bunch and I really don't think even a Mike Patton approved reissue would be much better. Ipecac hasn't really been known for top notch pressings and I doubt they would undertake the expensive process of all analog. That simply doesn't happen anymore, and if it does it's crazy ass Kevin Shields making an impossibly unavailable AAA pressing of Loveless.
Of course I'd still pick up an Ipecac pressing. It might have more art, bonus tracks, etc all while directly supporting the artist.

Sounds and looks excellent, just what you'd expect from a MOV reissue, although I was horribly disappointed by the lack of a lyric sheet, which both of the other MOV reissues of Mr Bungle records had. If you just want the music, this is an extremely solid choice, most likely your best.

I cleaned my copy and it looks very clean (was brand new when I bought it), I keep my stylus clean, etc, but this record (particularly Side B) produces a lot of pops and surface noise, which I honestly almost never hear on any other record I own, so I found that very curious about this release. I will try cleaning it again, but I dunno...

This pressing sucks. It is good to see that I'm not alone in having this opinion though.

Excellent sounding vinyl! Very dynamic unlike the plain pressing. Great job MOV!
