Thanks to the Internet and a new generation of electro-clubbers interested in Italo-Disco, this record obtained the recognition that did not have at the time. This has become a kind of classic, even reached a cult status now, but in the eighties, with the exception of Germany, where it was released by ZYX and included in a pair of Italo Boot mixes, this was a very underground track. Only known and appreciated by hardcore Italo fans. IMO I think time has done justice.

Nice italian cover version. Many people like this version even better than the original !

For me, this is the best italo-disco song ever. Curiously, only italo-disco fans seem to like it (as far as I know), and I think it'd be difficult to convert someone to this genre with this record, unless maybe if that person is already into electro (which was my case ten years ago). 7 stars out of 5, at least.

There are not official reprints of Squish Record
All those printed until now are bootlegs.
The only official reissue authorized by the legitimate owners (Flavio Vidulich and Giorgio Bacco) is on
Fonogrammi Particolari Label.

Was there ever an official Squish reissue of this recently? There were a bunch of places selling a 'premium quality vinyl reissue' of this in full Squish sleeve, but am I right in thinking that they are all bootlegs and that the only legit version is the forthcoming ltd release on Fonogrammi Particolari?

One of the best dance tracks ever made. 25+ years later and it still kicks ass. In the same league as major dance classics like Don't Go, Blue Monday, Let Your Body Learn, I Feel Love, etc. As Bleep43 mentions, one of the sickest basslines ever... a joyous sexy vocoded blast with, now , a twinge of bittersweet nostaligia...
