This (the withdrawn Slamm version) was so massive in London in 1996 - never failed wherever you were (in the clubs I used to frequent at the time) to get the place going mental (this and Flowtation by Vincent de Moor were both doing that at the same time) that I was shocked it never became a pop hit too. Maybe it was precisely BECAUSE the best version (and the only one you heard out) were withdrawn.
