there is zero info I could locate on this release on the ol' interweb, but it's that mid 90's post-hardcore / classic emo sound that was so ubiquitous in the mid to late 90's. I wouldn't say this is a diamond in the rough, but it's a nice single for the 90's emo / post-hardcore completist. The Patron Test is more like Midwest loud / quiet brethren like Sunday's Flood, Ordination of Aaron and the Kossabone Red while Mt St. Helens is more a Trans Magetti / Hoover post-hardcore sound that is a bit of Drive Like Jehu mixed with a more mid-paced Sleepytime Trio. Give it a shot...it cost less than a shot of Old Crow at the bar.
