Wow supermassive black hole is sounds incredible. I've not heard bass this clear and deep on my vinyl setup yet...really impressed, the sound effects echo into infinite soundscapes. Knights of Cydonia is very epic as well as the piano on Map of a Problematique. Typically I would wait till the end of the album till I finish my review but I see this is only going to get better as the album plays on. I really like the Drones album but feel this is the most solid album by The Muse in my collection thus far. I like their attempts on other albums to tell a story in parts like pink Floyd but if they just did this flowing artistry in a sweet order of anticipation and never letting down on the next track then their albums wouldn't be such erratic releases. The quality of the vinyl is stellar, disagree if you like but I own coil/nine inch nails recoiled splatter edition...I know what bad sounds like.

My pressing is in perfect condition and sounds great. There is no surface noise on it either.

I don't mean to break the party here but I bought this exact release in 2013 in Canada and it sounds actually pretty good. Maybe I'm damn lucky. My copy is perfectly flat and shows no distortion nor hissing. There are no crackling sounds and no surface noise. Ok it does not sound better than my CD version (equally congested and compressed) so maybe it is not worth the purchase if you already own one but I must say that mine is a good quality pressing. Sorry.

A great album, but horriblely pressed and weak sounding. They need need reissue it on 180g we we need to get a campaign going.
