Another Beautiful reissue from Vladimir and company at the Aquarellist label. This time the wonderful 'VOTE HEZBOLLAH' album.
I have always loved this album by Muslimgauze. It was the second release I bought after the IRAN disc. Both originally on the Soleilmoon label.
I love playing this for people who have never heard of Bryn Jones or Muslimgauze. They always fall in love with it. And then wonder why they have never heard of it, or of him. Then, I get to tell them his story.
It's nice to see a proper re-release with its sumptuous packaging. Just like the old days of the subscription albums
(the T-shirt is cool as well)
These guys at Aquarellist really go all out on the Muslimgauze releases.
It's wonderful that an independent music label like Aquarellist is keeping Bryn's music alive.
Long Live Muslimgauzes' Music.

Hello. Just FYI, I gave this copy a listen while working on some stuff. I need to listen with headphones later but, as things stand, the CDs sound fine. I had some issues with the "Wish of the Flayed" release and how, IMO, the CDs were poorly pressed and were technically faulty. (Maybe I just got unlucky and kept getting bad copies?) Those problems don't seem to affect this release. No weird glitching on these CDs, and the mastering job seems good. I haven't done an A/B vis-à-vis the original Soleilmoon pressing. Nothing bad jumped out at me on the first listen. But, like I said, I need to listen more closely with good headphones. As things stand, I think this set is a safe bet if you like this era of Muslimgauze. :)
