Back in its day, this cd was very rare and $90 - crazy.

Have to agree with scoundrel regarding the Global communications mix of wild horses...builds and builds with layers of swirling ambience, vocals, reverb and the kitchen sink but manages not to sound overcrowded and just works.Their best remix in my opinion.

Nav Katze's NEVER MIND THE DISTORTION takes peppy J-pop and turns it into luscious IDM, courtesy of a who's who of remixers. Ultramarine produces a mellow version of "Nobody Home," while the Aphex Twin does double duty, bringing forth an angular chug on "Ziggy" and a country-western mystery on "Change." The Black Dog gives a dreamy turn to "Never Not," and a funky one to "More Than a Feeling." And the Global Communication guys offer a rougher, Detroit-edged slant on "Crazy Dream," but take the cake with "Wild Horse," a long, melodic journey into ambiance. In the mid- to late-90s, Global Communication was at the top of their game, and this remix shows why.

This is an absolute must -have for all idm heads. What more could yopu ask for: 2 Aphex Twin tracks (i believe both or at least one are on the 26 mixes for cash cd), 2 Black Dog tracks unobtainable on anything else, 2 Global Communication tracks (well one By Reload and on by GC but whats the difference) both of which are superb especially 'Crazy Dream' which I love. Its a buider that climaxes in a real stomper of a track the other track 'Wild Horses was included on the 'Remotion' LP. This LP is 10 years old now and as you know, these records get rarer and rarer. Get it soon!
