"Da Sambafrique" is just adding some more sampled horns over the looped original "Sambafrique" released 17 years earlier in Japan by its composer: Dave Matthews for the album Grand Cross with Michael Brecker on saxophone and Randy Brecker on Flugelhorn and Trumpet. It ends up sounding more like a tweaked cover version than anything else although genuine covers do not loop and sample, musicians do their own takes instead, none of this here and finally I find the original deeper and way more engaging. The B side is as boring as any Moodyman so called 'productions'.

Da Sambafrique is a classy uplifting dancefloor house piece, but check also Feelin Sad, a monument of moody deepness that could as well have been produced by Moodymann in the mid-90s.
