pretty standard afair from both artists if you ask me, Simoncino with his revivalist sequencer house and Sotofett dubbing the shit out of it but unfortunately all four tracks do nothing for me, even Sotofetts super cool 3d stereo effects arent helping. if I had to pick, i would go for a2 for its melancholic melody bits but again, its short and weirdly constructed...

"Spiagge", or "beaches", is Signal Code's eighth outing since their first release back in 2011, and the first from one of the LIES affiliates. Nick Anthony Simoncino, master of drum machine loops and sci-fi synth sequences, steps up with three body-rocking slammers with an unpolished feel. "Spiaggia Misano" is deep, spacey and melancholic, while "Spiaggia Riccione" is the more lo-fi of three - its delayed hi-ends and sullen melodies circling with a stripped-back feel - and "Spiaggia Rimini" ups the percussion flex and then chucks in one hell of a bassline down below. Sex Tags Mania boss DJ Sotofett remixes "Spiaggia Misano", giving the track a real twist thanks to a broken, organic percussive weave and a series of seriously wavy melodies. What a release; probably the best yet from the Dublin massive.
