Smooth. A great first entry into this wonderful series. Space potatoes unite!

My CD has Back to Mine: Danny Tenaglia BACKCD1 printed on it - despite it definitely being this compilation! Anyway it's the music that counts and it's a great chill out mix!

This is an amazing chill out compilation with sheer class and a timeless quality. If you love chill out, Café Del Mar and blissfull emotional chill out comps then this is one of the best... If not thee best in my humble opinion.

Coldcut – Autumn Leaves (Irresistible Force Remix) , when you see tracks like this, you know it is gonna be high quality. The Moby - Go mix is also awesome.

I think this is as good as his highly rated GU 023 Reykjavik. While the latter had a backbone of progressive house, this "Back To Mine" compilation is more pure downtempo music.

I got attention to this cd from Nicks Global Underground (GU24), because this was partly also in a chillout-mood.
Bought it, listened to it and fallen in love with it!
I've heard this CD the first time while driving by train from Kassel to Frankfurt/Main (Germany) in the evening, it will often join my on train rides from now on.
Just for the combination of Moby - Go (Jam & Spoon Dub Mix) and Coldcut - Autumn Leaves (Remix) Nick should walk on the red carpet.
The complete CD fits also perfect in the pre-christmas time.

No need for critics, full points.

Although a trance DJ/producer primarily, Nick Warren also has excellent taste in electronica's more down-tempo genres as displayed in his excellent Reykjavik compilation, and here, his entry in the Back To Mine series. Here, Warren effortlessly floats from jazz to trip hop, to ambient, with excellent mixing and superb track selection. Warren's taste in track selection is always top-notch, but with regard to mixing, his mixes have always seemed a little disjointed. He was nowhere near as bad as Oakenfold (who's mixing at times shows no regard for coherence or mood), but it was definitely noticeable. Here the mixing is flawless, with silky smooth transitions from track to track and expert track placement.

Unlike many so-called chill albums, this one features little filler, and manages to keep the listener interested for the duration of the album. The first few tracks are especially enjoyable. Talismantra's "Warmth Released" is a beautiful opener, and Skanna (AKA Quivver)'s "This Way" is deep and gorgeous, and is my pick for the best track on the album. Other stand-outs include Coldcut's classic "Autumn Leaves" (which was sampled by Nick for his Way Out West song "The Fall"), Symbiosis' "Spiritual Technology", and Glide's "Space Van".

I could recommend this album to anyone, but people who enjoy any of the down-tempo genres of electronic music and haven't heard this, I must stress to you that this is an example of a chill compilation done to perfection. Highly recommended.

Apparently Nick is only known for playing bangign stuff, and this release shows there's much more to him. I really like his Global Underground stuff (check especially his Amsterdam set on GU 18), but this is something special. Few "chill-out" records manage to keep listener interest all way long, but this one certainly captivates your attention. Beautiful but not cheesy, rare records but not boring, with the emphasis on tracks themselves, not DJ skills ruining records... this is an essential release.
Five years on it still grows on me at every listen. Every track is a corker, no sight of a filler in there. Hmmmm... Nick, when's the next one?
