Alright, so I finally secured a copy of this Dark Entries press.

The GC1 version sounds great. There's still those odd ticks at the very start (are they a part of the track or the vinyl rip?), but other than that it sounds fantastic. No sibilance thankfully.

Also, I'm very impressed with the inserts. A very nice job indeed. I had no idea about the Oakland Ghost Ship fire, it's very sad to see the artist's images of all those who died.

Very touching.

I am glad to say that the sound quality of this release is superb, regardless of any forced sentimentality.

What about the GC1 Version?

Is it the same vinyl rip that was issued a few years ago (complete with sibilance and ticks / pops)?

EDIT: Anyone with actual detailed information?

So... how's the sound quality on this one? Any thoughts yet?
