The packaging is appallingly lazy. Why they chose a simple 2LP jacket to cram 4 LP's into is beyond me. And did anyone notice the little sticker on it said "36 tracks on 2 CD's"? LOL, they made the sticker bigger for the vinyl packaging, but couldn't be bothered to change the text to reflect 4 LP's.

That said though, I'm fortunate that mine didn't warp too badly. And the sound quality is actually outstanding. Like, really outstanding. Very impressed on that front.

Just spun my copy today. There is some moderate warping on all disks, but it isn't enough to affect tracking or sound quality, and, considering that this album was pressed just at the beginning of the vinyl boom, it is a serviceable version. Is it the best pressing of any album ever? No. The criticisms of the sleeve and record weight are valid. However, is it unlistenable? Not even close. Overall, I am pleased with this pressing.

My copy has moderate warping, but sounds fantastic! Hardly any surface noise, deep rich bass. I have spun the entire album several times, great listen.

I agree somewhat with the packaging but the sound out of this is great no distortion or warping on mine.

very low quality edition was expected more .... the vinyl is very thin so they bend easily, the gatefold is just ridiculously small for the number of disc. This great album deserve much more quality

Probably my favorite release from the entire NIN catalog (well, next to The Fragile). I currently own the vinyl edition as well as the deluxe 2xCD , DVD, Blu-ray set. It's a fantastic listen on any format! My only problem with the vinyl release is the tight packaging that nearly warps the records. A wide double gatefold or a trifold with four pockets would have been easily doable for this release. Unlike in the deluxe edition, the records here are very thin. Fortunately I have no sound quality issues with mine at all. I just feel that the standard release deserved much more considering how great of an album this is and how much work was put into the other formats.

Like other people, my copy is warped. It also has some annoying surface noise, especially on side 2. Great album, but an overall disappointing release.

Great album, but the actual packaging is terrible. The plastic wrapping looks like something the record store I bought it from would have done itself (but it was the original packaging), and the actual spine of the vinyl is smaller than it should be for 4 discs, causing them to warp in an irritating way. The spine of my 180 Californication, which is only two disc, is larger. They should've made it on 180 too, that would seem much more justified for $40 being that it's years old.
