I have the exact matrices on my copy as on this DGC, Geffen edition, but the spine of my LP has a serial number (0720642442517) that only matches the Back in Black versions! Matrix / Runout (Side A): BG DGC 24425 A -21919- P. USA 18200.1 (3)•••

Curious why side two has a typo "All Songs by Kurt Kobain". It's spell correctly on side 1.

this is the best sounding version of Nevermind I have heard, and it was also probably the cheapest, at $20 CDN, if you can find one, pick it up

Just got a copy of this a couple days ago. Damn! The sound quality is fantastic, especially on my audio setup. Very highly recommend for anyone looking for "Nevermind" on vinyl with great sound at a low price!

Sounds great for the most part but it is not perfect. My copy has some weird noise and distorsion at the begining of Something in the Way for 8 or 9 seconds. It is not overly bright and I can not hear any sibilance so I think it depends on what cartrige are you using and if it is properly aligned.
For comparison purposes I also have the original european first pressing made in germany and for me the EU first pressing sounds better. It has more punch, raw and "in your face kind of sound" Don't get me wrong, this BG mastering and Pallas pressing sounds fantastic there is a lot of detail and 95% free of noise

Any info about this pressing? Original? No sales history or release year here.

I've now seen three variations of this. I had one I bought about a year ago. It had a smaller insert inside (like 10"x10"). On the back, it had the black/grey water detail with the bottom barcode. My daughter bumped into it and the needle caused a thin deep scratch across all of Breed, so I decided to pick up a new copy at the record store. They had two copies, one inside the loose bag that you unseal at the top and another with tight plastic seal. They both had the same Pallas sticker on the front, but the covers were different. The latter had no black/grey water detail on the back, but it did have the barcode at the bottom. The copy I went with had the barcode at the top right, and the insert was actually a full sleeve insert, not the other single page smaller one I had previously. Records are identical. It looks like there are different covers and variations used for this pressing. Oddly enough, the barcode on my new one matches the 2008 EU Back to Black release, though the record does not. It's almost like they have used left-over covers of those.

My copy of this version has sibilance issues here and there and it just sounds abit too bright and harsh for the most part.
Maybe I just got a bad copy????, I was really looking forward to hearing this due to the excellent reviews this pressing has received.
I'd still love to hear an original U.S pressing from 1991 even if just for comparison sake.

So I'm wondering what's going on with these, because the current copies at my local record store don't have barcodes on the back cover, are these recent pressings maybe?

Amazing pressing. The drums are blowing me away. Sounds better than the CD on my setup.
