A quality bundle of mixes here covering 3 different musical styles; 2 dub/reggae mixes, 1 house and 1, a kind of a crossover hybrid of the two. The 2 dub/reggae mixes, while cut from the same cloth, sit on a nice sliding scale of deepness, the original being at the lighter end, (I use the term 'lighter' very loosely) while the G-Corp remix takes things a little ‘smokier’ with plenty of vocal reverb and nice punchy synth stabs thrown in but without straying to far away from the excellent original, which contains a more prominent and seriously heavy bottom end and vocals that are far more consumate.

The final mix, (Needs remix) is both the busiest and most accessible of the release and is worthy of extra applause as it completely transforms itself from both the original and the accompanying mixes. Rolling in at about 8 minutes, this remix represents everything quality house music should be. Great instrumentation, really clever programming and just the right amount of breakdown in the right place without over egging and spoiling it. While all the musical elements are in place, elements that have been laid down with a great deal of care and attention, for me it’s the atmosphere this track generates that make it so appealing. It’s the kind of track any good DJ would drop quite late in the night when all the posers, prima donnas and glitterati have left the building, leaving behind just those who really appreciate the good stuff when the hear it.
