Definitely not a ground-breaking and original track, Daniel Kandi has whipped the vocals of Oceanlab's "If I Could Fly" and stuck them on top of the Alex M.O.R.P.H Remix of Mike Shiver's uplifting "On the Surface", creating perhaps what you could describe as a text book example of Epic Trance. However, say what you like about Epic Trance, it hits all the right buttons with people all over the world and this mash-up hits them very well. Above & Beyond dropped this early on in their set at Godskitchen in January this year and the crowd hit the roof.

It may not be cutting edge dance music, it may not be "proper" trance, it may be just a bit of fun, but why is that such a bad thing? In the end of the day going clubbing isn't meant to be a serious hobby and if rock, pop, soul, classical music is allowed to be uplifting...why can't trance be as well? It is one of the main reasons we listen to music after all.
