SKELETON KEYS continues Omni Trio's output of smooth drum 'n' bass. From the swift title track to the joyousness of "Sanctuary," the man keeps delivering. "Silver" goes into deep sweeps, while "Fire Island" takes a relatively simple melodic line and layers on the sounds it until sounds almost shoegazer-ish, before clearing back out. In comparison, "Atomic State" doesn't generate quite the same excitement as the other tracks, but the crisp darkness of "Red Rain" quickly redeems things. "Twin Town Karaoke," as interpreted by the Guardians of Dalliance, is a perky bit of fun, while the original is much more low key. When the Funky Technicians get their hands on "Sanctuary," they keep the spirit of the original. This key should be enough to open any door.

Totally smooth and deadly klinical. Minimalistic yet rich in veriety and expression. Cool as a midnight tomb yet warm as a summer wibe, right in your eye. and stuff.
